Notes from the journey

Business diaryBuilding 247 Luxe Lab

Building something I’m proud to put my name on.

I’ve been giving the 247 Luxe Lab website a refresh, from the pictures to the way everything reads. There’s still work to do, but I’m enjoying seeing it come together.

I want the whole experience to feel like 247 Luxe Lab, from the first page you land on to the moment you choose your hair.

Right now, that means improving the product imagery, making information easier to find and paying attention to the little details across the store.

It’s a work in progress, and I want to share more of that process here. The finished result matters, but so does everything that goes into building it.

My journeyWhere it started

Before there was a brand, there was a girl who loved doing hair.

I was doing hair in Year 8, learning new skills and trying things for myself. Hair, lashes, makeup — I loved the creativity and helping people look and feel good.

Over time, I started taking wig styling more seriously. But I kept thinking about the people I couldn’t reach from my chair.

That became part of the idea behind 247 Luxe Lab: helping people enjoy that feeling from the comfort of their own home, with hair that’s customised and ready to wear.

This journal is a place to share more of the journey as it grows.

Little lessonsA note on presentation

The little details are part of the experience.

A useful tip from working on the website: look at your product page as if you’re seeing it for the first time. Is it clear what you’re getting? Can you find the answers you need?

Beautiful pictures draw you in, but clear information helps you decide.

When I’m reviewing a page, I’m thinking about the questions someone might have before ordering: the hair, the customisation options and how long it will take.

It’s a reminder I’m taking into this refresh: make it look good, and make it useful too.
